James Robert Jackson, 37, of Frederick, is facing a host of sex offense charges after being busted distributing child sex abuse materials.
In August, a detective at the Frederick Police Department was tipped off by a special agent with the FBI that Jackson had been chatting online with an undercover officer, during which he distributed the illicit imagery.
The detective and a special agent were able to work quickly with the Frederick County State's Attorney's office to ascertain warrants for Jackson's arrest and he was arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 13 after a search and seizure of his home led to the recovery of damning evidence.
Jackson was arrested without incident and charged with nine counts related to the possession of child pornography and the solicitation of child pornography from minors, and three counts of distribution of child pornography.
No information about his initial court appearance has been announced by the department. He is being held without bail.
